Want Something Interesting to Do This Friday Night?

At the inaugural Interesting Vancouver event in 2007, a small group of you (less than 100) took your seats at the rowing club and settled in for an evening of hilarious, strange, and inspiring stories featuring some of our cities most interesting Vancouverites. Their stories were heard underneath the crunch, crunch, crunch of the apples we’d offered as catering — sorry about that. Things have gotten even more interesting since then.
In just 3 DAYS, on Friday, November 10th, we will be celebrating 10 years of Interesting Vancouver.
There are still a few tickets left!
Over the last 10 years we’ve upgraded our catering and moved to a larger venue, but never lost the heart — that yearning to connect with our city in a deeper way — that made that first show such an overwhelming success.
Interesting Vancouver is not, and has never been, a ‘sage on the stage’ lecture series. Our speakers do not have all the answers. What they do have is passion, curiosity, a healthy (sometimes) dose of obsession, and a whole lot of drive. We set the stage up like a living room, and give them each a chance to share their story and sometimes even demonstrate the crazy interesting things that fire them up. It is always interesting, and our audiences always leave with lots to talk about.
IV was on Conversations That Matter
A couple of weeks ago, our producer Mark Busse and this year’s emcee Jocelyn Macdougall met up with Stuart McNish from Conversations that Matter to talk about Interesting Vancouver — why the event excites them and why they decided (or keep deciding) to get involved.
You can watch that conversation here:
Join us and some very interesting Vancouverites on November 10th (watch our teaser), and help us celebrate 10 years of Interesting Vancouver. We’ve personally been waiting all spring, summer, and autumn for this.
