IV17 SPEAKER: Robert Chaplin

A publisher who practices the secret art of dimensional illustration.
Robert was the winner of our IV Prize in 2016. He is a publisher, sculptor, author, illustrator, and jeweller. Robert’s children’s book Teeny Ted from Turnip Town was entered into the Guinness World Record 2011 as the smallest book in the world. He also made “Royal Canadian”, a brand of beautiful silver jewelry, by selling snowflake sponsorships and making one snowflake at a time. He’s been awarded a citation from Alcuin Society for best kids book design in Canada in 2009, elected to Royal Canadian Academy in 2004, and awarded the IV Prize in 2016.
